In the next couple of weeks, check your wages and speak with your employer to make sure you are receiving the pay rate you are due. It is against the law for an employer to pay you less than the National Minimum Wage. Our system has been designed to ensure that no-one is paid below this rate as a protection for both you and us.
The standard tax code of 1275L has not changed, but if you live in Scotland, please be aware that the tax thresholds are different so we recommend that you check the government website.
As an employee you may note that your wages look a little different at the beginning of a new tax year. This is normal but does balance out after a couple of weeks.
